Saturday 18 May, 11:00am: The People's Parade meeting in the auditorium at the South Holland centre, chaired by John Hayes MP, organised by Phil Scarlett of the the Spalding & District Chamber of Commerce. Entry by [free] ticket only from the South Holland Centre; doors open 10:30am, expected to conclude by 1:00pm.
It is understood that the meeting was to consider proposals for the future of 'Festivals of Food, Flowers and Arts' and 'Tulip Heritage Trails' as well as the place of Church Flower Festivals and then decide how to progress the formation of a 'stakeholders' steering group to lead on items such as the sourcing of sponsorship and funding and the overall organisation of any events.
